FAQ and Troubleshooting
Common questions about the DonorPerfect to ActiveCampaign sync.
What does the integration cost?
| Price | |

| Base plan (includes 5,000 donors synced, 1 month of donation history, unlimited syncs) | $169/month |
| Additional 2,500 donors (add-on, per block) | $99/month |
| Gifts Pipeline (gifts sync as ActiveCampaign deals) | $89/month |
| Custom Fields (sync your custom DonorPerfect fields) | $89/month |
| Additional donation history (one-time, per month of history imported) | $50 |
See the product page for current pricing, or contact sales@apiant.com. Both DonorPerfect and ActiveCampaign require their own active paid subscriptions.
Does my initial donor import count against my donor tier?
Yes. The initial import is included in onboarding, and the donors it brings in count within your plan's donor limit — only active donors count. The base plan includes 5,000 donors, and capacity can be added in blocks of 2,500 donors at $99/month each. See Initial import & historical gifts.
Will my historical gifts show up as deals in ActiveCampaign?
Only with the Gifts Pipeline add-on, and only starting one month back from go-live by default. Without that add-on, gift-level detail doesn't sync at all — donor-level totals (lifetime giving, YTD, gift count, first/last gift, etc.) still sync as part of the standard donor sync regardless. Additional months of history can be imported for a one-time fee of $50 per month. See Initial import & historical gifts.
What if a donor has no email address in DonorPerfect?
By default, they don't sync — ActiveCampaign requires an email address on every contact. If you need every donor represented regardless, ask your APIANT contact about enabling placeholder-email generation for your account. See Sync timing and reliability.
A contact received an ActiveCampaign automation (like a Welcome Series) I expected to be excluded by tag
This happens when an ActiveCampaign automation fires the moment a contact is created or updated — which can be a few seconds before CRMConnect has applied the relevant tag. Contact creation/update always completes first, and tag application happens afterward as a separate step, so there's a brief window where the tag isn't there yet. This applies whether the contact is brand new or already existed.
The fix is to add a short delay (or a "wait until tag present" condition, if your ActiveCampaign plan supports it) to the automation, so it re-checks tags before it fires rather than acting instantly on contact creation or update. See Sync timing and reliability for the full explanation.
Can I bring a custom DonorPerfect field into ActiveCampaign?
Yes, with the Custom Fields add-on ($89/month) — your custom DonorPerfect fields can be mapped to an ActiveCampaign custom field. Tell your APIANT contact which field(s) you want synced.
Does my DonorPerfect contact log (calls, letters, visits) sync?
No — contact-log entries are outside the standard CRMConnect property set. This is intentionally out of scope; if you need that history connected to ActiveCampaign, it would need to be handled as a separate project.
Who do I contact?
support@apiant.com. Include your organization name and, if the question is about a specific donor, the DonorPerfect Donor ID. Do not send passwords or API keys by email.
