Data Reference
The donor and gift properties CRMConnect writes into ActiveCampaign, and how codes, dropdowns, and custom fields work.
What syncs
| Properties | ActiveCampaign object | Synced from | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Donors | ~67 properties | Contact | DonorPerfect donor record |
| Gifts | ~67 properties (Gifts Pipeline add-on) | Deal (linked to the donor's contact) | DonorPerfect gift record |
The full property-by-property list is maintained as a spreadsheet and shared with you during onboarding — see the link on the main guide.
Only a handful of fields map to ActiveCampaign's own native contact fields — Email, First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number for donors, and Gift Amount (as the deal amount) for gifts. Everything else — 63 donor fields and 66 gift fields — is created as a custom field in your ActiveCampaign account the first time the integration runs, covering things like gift totals and multi-year giving history, campaign/solicitation/GL codes, tribute and acknowledgement details, and compliance flags (Do Not Send Mail, No Email, opt-out reason/source).
Codes and dropdowns
DonorPerfect represents many fields — campaign, solicitation, general ledger code, gift type, donor type, and others — as short internal codes rather than the readable labels your team enters them under. CRMConnect resolves these automatically:
- The description (the readable label) is written to ActiveCampaign alongside the code, so reporting reads naturally rather than showing raw codes.
- The first time a new code appears in DonorPerfect, CRMConnect adds it as a new option on the matching ActiveCampaign dropdown field — your ActiveCampaign field list stays in sync with your DonorPerfect configuration without any manual maintenance.
- DonorPerfect flags sync as ActiveCampaign tags rather than a dropdown field. See Sync timing and reliability for the timing relationship between contact creation and tag application.
Custom fields (beyond the standard set)
If you use a DonorPerfect field outside the standard property set — for example a custom gift-screen field you use for attribution or reporting — it can be carried through to a matching ActiveCampaign custom field via the Custom Fields add-on ($89/month). This is enabled per account rather than on by default; tell your APIANT contact which custom field(s) you want synced.
Contact log
DonorPerfect's contact-log entries (calls, letters, visits recorded against a donor) are not part of the standard CRMConnect property set and are out of scope for this integration.
