Time Zones and Daylight Saving

How times stay correct across time zones and daylight saving changes.

Scheduling across time zones is where booking tools usually go wrong. CalendarConnect is built to keep times correct.

Each studio has its own time zone

Every location is configured with its real time zone at onboarding. Availability read from Mindbody is published to Calendly in that studio's local time, so a visitor booking a studio in Chicago sees Chicago times and a visitor booking a studio in Philadelphia sees Philadelphia times, from the same Calendly organization.

Daylight saving is handled for you

Because each location carries a full time zone, not a fixed offset, the switch to and from daylight saving is applied automatically on the dates it happens. A 9:00 am opening in Mindbody is a 9:00 am opening on the booking page before and after the clocks change, with no manual adjustment.

Bookings return to Mindbody at the right time

When a visitor books, the chosen time is converted back to the studio's local time before the appointment is written to Mindbody, so the appointment lands at the hour the visitor actually chose. This conversion is daylight-saving aware as well.

What this needs from you

The one thing that must be right is each studio's time zone in its setup. It is set once at onboarding. If you open a location in a new time zone, tell APIANT so it is configured correctly. Everything else follows from that.
