Mindbody's retail merchandise is termed as 'products', whereas their service offerings are labeled as 'pricing options'. Understanding this distinction is crucial since both are integrated into Shopify and represented as 'products'.

Triggers for Mindbody Product Updates:

Name Change: Any alteration to the name of a product in Mindbody will trigger an update.

Price Modification: A change in the price of a product in Mindbody will initiate an update. It is important to note that changing the price back to a previously used price will not trigger a Mindbody update.

Image Addition: Adding an image to a product in Mindbody will trigger an update in Shopify. However, this update will not remove any previously existing images in Shopify.

Description Adjustment: Modifying the description of a product in Mindbody will also trigger an update.

Vendor Names: Vendor names are utilized during the initial creation of products or pricing options from Mindbody to Shopify. However, they are not updated during subsequent changes.

One-Way Sync: Updates made in Shopify do not sync back to Mindbody. The synchronization flows from Mindbody to Shopify.

Please be advised that the update from Mindbody to Shopify may require up to 15 minutes for the product or pricing option to be updated.

ShopConnect Settings and Mindbody Product Updates:

The behavior of product updates in Shopify is influenced by the ShopConnect settings:

"Product Image Sync" and "Product Description Sync" Enabled: With both of these settings enabled, any changes to the product's name, price, image, or description in Mindbody will update the corresponding product in Shopify.

"Product Image Sync" Enabled: Enabling this setting ensures that adding an image to a product in Mindbody will add that image to the corresponding product in Shopify. However, it will not remove any previous images in Shopify. Removing images from a product in Shopify must be done manually.

"Product Image Sync" Disabled: When "Product Image Sync" is disabled, changes to the image in Mindbody will be ignored during the product update. Nevertheless, all other fields will still be updated during the next synchronization.

"Product Description Sync" Enabled: Enabling this setting results in the full product description in Shopify being overwritten with the Mindbody description. It is important to note that formatting will be lost in the Shopify description.

"Product Description Sync" Disabled: If "Product Description Sync" is disabled, changes to the product description in Mindbody will be ignored during the product update. All other fields will be updated during the next synchronization.

Name Change: Any modification to the name of a pricing option or service in Mindbody will trigger an update.

Price Modification: A change in the price of a pricing option or service will initiate an update. Note that changing the price back to a previously used price will not trigger a Mindbody update.

Barcode Modification: Changing the barcode of a pricing option or service will initiate an update. Barcode updates are not synchronized unless you are using the "Only include services with SKU prefix" setting.

Pricing Option Title and "Product Description Sync" Enabled: Enabling the "Product Description Sync" setting will result in the pricing option title being updated in Shopify, ensuring consistency between Mindbody and Shopify.
