Retrying orders from Shopify → Mindbody

If an order failed to sync from Shopify to Mindbody and you would like to retry the sync for this order, simply add the tag "retry" on the bottom right of the order:
If you'd like to retry more than one order at a time, simply select the orders you would like to retry by adding a check box:
Click the 3 dots at the bottom of your screen:
Choose "Add tags"
Select the "retry" tag and click Save:
When using the retry tag in Shopify to resend orders to Mindbody, it's essential to exercise caution as there’s no "save" button after applying the tag. Here are key points to keep in mind:
- Immediate Resend: Once the retry tag is applied, the order will be resent to Mindbody automatically. There's no delay or confirmation step, so the order is immediately processed again.
- Avoid Duplicate Sends: If you modify the order or reapply the retry tag before the system has had a chance to remove it, the order may be sent multiple times. This could result in duplicate entries in Mindbody.
- How the Retry Tag Works: The retry tag triggers a hard resend of the order, even if it has already been posted to Mindbody. For instance, if you apply the retry tag, Shopify will send an "order changed" notification. If you then make additional changes, such as adding a note, another "order changed" notification will be sent with the retry tag still active, leading to a possible duplicate resend.
- Tag Removal After Success: Once the order has been successfully resynced from Shopify to Mindbody, the retry tag will be automatically removed from the order. This indicates that the process is complete and no further actions are needed to resend the order.
- Best Practice: To avoid complications, add the retry tag and then wait a minute to confirm that the order successfully appears in Mindbody. You can check for confirmation either in the system or through any error alert emails.
- Modifying Orders: If you need to continue adding notes or making further changes to the order, ensure the retry tag has been removed before proceeding. This will prevent the order from being unintentionally resent to Mindbody.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure that the retry process runs smoothly and minimize the risk of sending orders multiple times.
